Tom played bouzouki on Smile (What Kind of Love Is This) and acoustic guitar on Fool on China Crisis' 2018 album Autumn In The Neighbourhood.

In 2017, Tom was commissioned to arrange new versions of Beatles songs with UK-based sitarist Jasdeep Singh Degun in celebration of the story of The Beatles and Indian music for a live concert at Liverpool Philharmonic. Tom was the lead singer, lead guitarist and keyboard player on the night in June 2017.

The show gave credit to Buddhadev Kansara (tamboura) and Natwar Soni (tabla) who played on Within You Without You but went uncredited for many years. Both musicians attended and appeared onstage.

Tom was involved in the making of China Crisis frontman Gary Daly's first solo album Gone From Here in 2019. He recorded many of the album demos with Gary at his home studio.

On the finished album he provides backing vocals to Time It Takes, electric guitar to Transition / Peace and electric and acoustic guitar on Anger And / Or Rage. He also played electric and acoustic guitar on the title track Gone From Here and produced it.

Tom composed and performed the vocal melody and harmonies on Earth Control by Dargz and played mellotron organ.

He is featured as Novelty Island on the track.
